Won't sync apps on watch. Help. topic

So my LG G watch R started having a problem staying connected to my phone. No biggie. I tried doing a factory reset on my watch, wiped cache, data, etc. Then reboot, repaired to my phone and suddenly the watch will not sync apps. I have tried clearing the cache for google play and google play services, clearing cache and data for Android Wear app. Uninstalling and reinstalling Android Wear app. And even reflashing the system for the watch. All in vain. When I reset the watch, the only app that shows up in the "Start..." option on the phone is Google Fit.

I have even tried clearing the Dalvik cache on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.4.2).

Anyone else experience this? I have never had a problem with this before and this is perplexing.
