Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.

Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for testers wanted for new CTT mod 70, 75 & 80° mods just added. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy! :)

Recently I upgraded to Android Revolution 5.0 and 5.1 and started having problems with my Wireless Network when using my phone's hotspot. I fist thought it was my computer but I don't have this problem with other Wi-Fi networks. I have use my phone's hotspot for years and never had this issue.

Basically each time I turn on my mobile hotspot on my phone and reconnect my computer a numeric value is added to the wireless network name. For example, I have named my hotspot "HTC" and each time I reconnect, it's renamed to HTC 1, HTC 2, HTC 3. I know it's not a big issue as I'm still able to use my hotspot but it's irritating as I have to configure it each time before jumping online.

I have spent a few hours reading and all I could find was information on how to rename my network connection and how to delete and/or merge networks. I have even edited the registry and I keep having the same issue. I'm running windows 7 by the way and my Network Adapter is up to date.

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Thanks
