Hello guys, as I have said, i edited my phone build prop file. Those two lines manufacturer and model
I have HTC Desire 310 Dual Sim, and I wanted to trick Google Play to think that it was Samsung Galaxy S5 :D

I used ES File Explorer, so when i restarted it, i was in a boot loop. I can only see HTC Logo, and I can go in the recovery.
I copied original Build prop. file to my pc, and my phone is rooted, and in boot loop.

And help would be appreciated.

Our device needs a fully stable kitkat rom for xposed and i dont think that cm11 is stable enough... Random forcecloses of system ui.. I am sure i am not the only one who wants this....

I am pretty green at rooting, did it on a droid pro and later droid razr. I recently purchased a used Verizon Galaxy S 4 and need root access with a wifi tethering option as I am still g'fathered on unlimited data on two phones. I have read the thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...-2014-t2959613 and being a noobie I'm a bit overwhelmed with doing it. I will need to do a factory reset on the phone before I swap it to my account and assume I need to do that before I try rooting. A few questions I have are; 1. do I need the sim card installed before doing the root 2. Is odin v3.09 an app or a computer program 3. what kind of tethering options will i have (I currently run "android-wifi-tether" on my razr) Is there a better (easier, safer) way if I update to Lollipop 5.? or do I need to stay with the 4.2.2? I apologize for my ignorance.

since the official maintainer "solk2" for the GT-I9506 moved on to CM12 before providing a final build incorporating his latest fixes I decided to make my own builds.

According to my personal experience the battery life has vastly improved. In particular the power consumption while the display is off has decreased substantially. Solk2 has apparently fixed some issues with the kernel so the battery issues are gone. So for everyone not yet willing to transition to CM12 (in my case inter alia due to the currently unstable state and the lack of a stable Xposed framework in Android 5) this might be a good alternative.

I will gladly share my unofficial ROMs, however I would need someone to host the files in order to do that. If anyone would be so kind as to host ROMs please let me know.

If any relevant code changes to CM11 will appear I will most certainly compile a new version.


* IMPORTANT *

Please note that these builds are based on nothing else than the unchanged official code from Cyanogenmod, solk2 and others. So every credit goes to them.

I will not and cannot make any changes to the code. The only thing I can do and will do is build a ROM thereof in case some interesting fixes etc. appear. However, since CM11 is becoming outdated there will most probably not be a lot of changes to come.

Also, it should be understood that I take no responsibilities whatsoever if anything goes wrong when you install the ROM. Like the original ROM this is completely at your own risk!

However, you can expect that any ROM I share has been installed on my own GT-I9506 (with Samsung firmware of 4.4.2 nordic countries) and runs without obvious issues. Your mileage may vary.

Hi guys,

I've been trying to root an Asus TF103C K010 with build number EDU_NA-3.2.36.44 without luck. Here are the approaches that I thought could work in theory, but didn't end up working:

1. Rooting via RootZenFone-1.4.6.4r.apk - This app rooting method works with builds that has the Asus Demo program. However, the EDU_NA build doesn't come with the Demo program, so this approach didn't work. I couldn't install the Asus Demo program onto the EDU_NA either.

2. I tried switching the build SKU from EDU_NA to WW via adb sideload of the WW firmware in Recovery mode (the tablet wouldn't allow loading from SD card in Recovery mode). However, I wasn't successful in that approach either. The tablet kept producing the following error:

Installation aborted."

As some posts alluded to, I tried to rename the firmware file from WW to EDU_NA to "trick" the tablet thinking that it's a EDU_NA update zip file. That didn't work either.

Anyone with success on rooting this build? Thanks!
