Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to this, so thought of having some valuable opinions from Android Gurus here. Currently i am running Aurora V8 on my i9500; i am confused which custom kernel to install. There is Voltaq kernel, there is Haylcion's kernel and then there is LW kernel. So i really don't know which kernel should i install and is it actually any fruitful installiing the custom kernel.

So someone please guide me.

I have an i9502 dual-sim S4. This was only sold in China so it does not come with Gapps. I'm on rooted stock 5.0. When I install the Gapps package, gmail (the only preloaded google software) gets updated but nothing else gets installed. This happens with most of the gapps packages I've found (all for 5.0) With one of them I got an error of not enough partition space. What am I missing?

All the files on the stickies are now unavailable.. Someone help?

--- i have htc 816w. After unlocking and rooting two months, my touch started not work well. it sometimes doest work, sometimes writes by itself, and sometimes open windows by itself. Because of this problem;
---- i installed some custom roms like "cm-12-20150505-NIGHTLY-a5.zip" and "mokee" and on my mobile. i didnt like them. there were some problems. i want to restore old rom but, i tried reset and everything but i couldnt go back to android 4.4.4.
*my mobile is now "cm-12-20150505-NIGHTLY-a5"
*and android is 5.0.2 .

My system is now KK 4.4.2 with unlocked bootloader
I download CM12 (nightly) from download.cyanogenmod.com - XT925 KK bootloader
I intended to install CM12.zip via Phil Touch recovery but it failed and this message appeared:

Installation aborted.
Then I used TWRP recovery instead of CWM.
The installation was successful, but in a short time (faster than installing gapps)
I made the phone rebooted.
When the system was on, it showed an error dialogue and self-rebooted to boot animation graphics immediately. Then, it became an endless loop
I had to reflash stock KK system via RSD
What happenned to my XT925????

Sorry for my bad english but i can't reinstall anything after i have accidentally deleted all internal storage.
I can only see and navigate for twrp, but i can't connect by USB at my pc. I've read and test a lot of tutorial but nothing seems to work...my adb drivers doesn't work.
Please help, I can no longer use my Kindle Fire HD 8.9

Hi all, I want to install the last CM11 snapshot version. I succed, but if I try to remove some apk from the zip the installation is aborted, even if I delete only Apollo and Calculator. What I do is:
- unzip
- remove apks from system/app
- zip

I have CM Recovery 6.0.5.1. This procedure worked fine with CM10, what is going wrong now?

I was trying to upgrade to lollipop using the flashtools program and the firmware downloaded with Xperiafirm, installed all the drivers from drivers folder after Ininstalled the flashatool program.

When I try to flash it, the program gives me this error:

When this occured, my Z1 stucked in boot loop with sony logo.

Already tried to install Kit Kat, but the same problem happens.

Tried to Repair the phone withn Sony PC Companion, but the program say there is no software for my phone, even after the software downloaded the firmware.

How can I solve this problem now??

So I have a T-Mobile LG G3 (d851) with a rooted 10c and TWRP.
I flashed the latest CM12.1 but when I boot into CM12 I am unable to hang up calls. If I make a call and tap the red "hang up" button the dialer says "Hanging up" but never does and I continue to hear the other party.

I am sure this has something to do with the 10c radio on Lollipop but maybe not.

I found flashable zips for the 20b radio and successfully upgraded it but that didn't solve the problem with disconnecting a call. I am at a loss here, especially since when I check for an OTA via the phone's UI I get the "you have the latest software" message.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have already flashed to 10B, root w/ one click root, installed flashify, flashed Philz CWM, in recovery i wiped everything, installed Bliss Pop 3.3, installed Banks GAPPS, then I tried flashing Bliss kernal and bam soft brick. Sorry I guess I'm still a Noob. Will someone please explain what i did wrong and the correct way to go about this. I am currently VS985 10B w/o root. I will try to be patient and wait to try again when someone corrects me. lol Thank you to all developers and especially the Bliss Pop team! I love the ROM, still trying to get used to LP though.:confused::o

I have a Galaxy S 10.5 (16GB) that I picked up in September of 2014. I love the thing but it's showing a weird issue. Any time I hit 500MB storage remaining, Google Play Store will no longer update apps. It gives me an insufficient storage notification. I can go in and clear the cache and everything is great - until I get to 500MB remaining again. Then I have to find more space again.

I've had a 64GB SD card installed in the device since I purchased it. I store music there and move apps that support it to the memory card. I was hoping that having the SD card would make the (insufficient) 16GB of storage liveable. It hasn't and the 500MB has only made it more challenging.

Has anyone seen this before and/or have any ideas what might be going on here.

I found this method while browsing XDA one day.
Basically, open up a Lollipop ROM, navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android/ and open the "updater-script" file using notepad, and remove this line "assert(getprop("ro.bootloader") == "0x4118" || abort("This package supports bootloader(s): 0x4118; this device has bootloader " + getprop("ro.bootloader") + "."););" Or something that looks like it. (You may have to extract and recompress the file to do this.) Doing this will bypass the bootloader check, meaning that if you have an older bootloader, the install script will still run.
The only obvious issue I see is a line that looks like a vertical tear when you initially boot your device, but locking and unlocking your phone will get rid of it. I heard that CDMA data won't work with this tweak, but I can't say for sure.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1: First of all you have to download the file from this link.

2: Extract the zip file with this Password : UNIVERSAL ROOT

3: Install Samsung USB driver (Given in the zip) in your pc if you don't have this. [If you are facing problems to install the driver, you can download it from here]. If you have already installed the driver, ignore this step.

4: Now, lets start installing TWRP...

• Open ODIN in your PC.

• Put your Tablet in download mode by Pressing the Home button + Power + Volume Down. Release buttons ,when you see a warning ; then press the volume up (vol +) to continue to download mode.

• Connect your Tablet to your PC

• There is a option named 'BL' in the ODIN . Just tick that and click on 'BL'.

• Now you have to untick the Auto Reboot option in the ODIN. Otherwise the TWRP wouldn't start in the recovery mode.

• Now Select the recovery.img.tar.md5 file from the extracted zip.

• Press START Button in the ODIN.

• Wait till flashing is finished.

• After flashing is finished, Press and hold Home button + Power + Volume Up button until your device restart into the recovery mode.

• Now just reboot your device from recovery.

Congratulations!!! Installing TWRP is successful!!! :D :D


ROOTING PROCESS :

• FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO TRANSFER THE SUPERUSER.ZIP FILE( I have given in the zip) IN THE INTERNAL MEMORY OF YOUR TABLET

• BOOT INTO RECOVERY MODE BY PRESSING POWER BUTTON+HOME BUTTON+VOLUME UP BUTTON

• NOW SELECT INSTALL

• CHOOSE THE SUPERUSER.ZIP FROM THE INTERNAL MEMORY OF YOUR TABLET

• FLASH THE FILE AND THEN RESTART YOUR TABLET

I want to install the navigation bar, which both in Android Lollipop. The previous attempt was unsuccessful - I broke SystemUI. Are there any applications that look exactly like on Android L and enables singles to easily revert back without backups?

Hello everyone! I've recently rooted my Galaxy S6 Edge rom version: G925FXXU1AOCV using the PingPong Root.
Now im trying to install Viper4Android. But it needs BusyBox to be installed in order to work.
So I tried downloading and installing Busybox. But installation fails and shows the following error:

Install BusyBox v1.20.2 failed.
We have detected your system cannot function with this version of busybox.
Please try installing a different Rom or fixing your system.
Error: Cannot Link Executable: cannot locate symbol "_res_get_state" reference by "busybox"...

I have no idea what I need to do in order to install BusyBox. I tried playing around with ADB shell but for the life of me can't figure it out.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
