When I look at the storage it makes me wonder if it's normal that emulated is twice sdcard0. I really don't know about storage management in android and it made me wonder through the past. So this really dumb question probably. It has to be like that or do I have duplicate content ?Attachment 3322217

Hi guys,

Quick question about taking photos with the G3. I can't get an OK (let alone nice) photo of a concert with it. The performer always is overexposed, and I didn't find a way around it. At first I thought that it was just the best a small phone camera could do in these conditions (even a good one) but then my friend just beside me took the same picture just after me with an iphone 4S and the pic was better. You could actually see the performer's face and some other details on him, not just a white overexposed silhouette. Am I missing something here ?

Here's an example of a pic I took last night :

BTW, I'm using the stock camera (I'm using the Cloudy rom).

Hello guys

First of all I will excuse me for my bad English.
I've a question about the use of the USB OTG system. I'd like to use a general 3xUSB (female) to MicroUSB (male) cable in this way: 1 numpad/key arrows, 1 mouse and 1 port for charging the Android phone itself at a power point. Is this possible with the general cables in the stores? So not, does it exists and where must I pay attention(I don't really mean the OTG Y cables, because I can't find one with 2 USB (female) ports and I don't know where the energy gain from the Micro USB (female) port and charger is good for (Recharging phone or powering the USB port)
The reason I'll ask this is becuz I like to play Oldschool Runescape play easier on my mobile phone with XDSL Wheezy than I do now. I hope the mouse and numpad/key artows work already with it.

Greetings Delelith and thanks in advance!

Hi there, I've been unsuccessfully trying to root my Moto X since I got it. I know its possible but for the sake of my life, I can't figure it out. I'm hoping XDA members can help out since they probably know more.

Here are my system specs:
Carrier: AT&T
Android Version: 4.4.4
Baseband Version: MSM8960PRO_BP_2323.038.123.00R
Kernel Version: 3.4.42-gb444bf1-00004-g6b785f7dbbuild@ ca88lnxdroid14 #1
System Version: 2.12.44.46.ghost_att.ATT.en.US

Hi all,

Running kodi/Helix 14.0 sideloaded on my non-rooted fireTV.... With no other extras or addons apart from my network attached HD.
Using IkonoTV as my launcher.
all updates blocked via opendns.

I just wanted to know if it was possible to change the background wallpaper on the main screen...

I know I have to go to System/Settings and then to appearance then go to skin tab and then to settings....then the tab for "Background Options" then "enable custom Background".

Once I have done this I then go to "Background Path:" and this is where I get stuck..... It's been a real pig... because the only two options I have are "External Storage" and "Root Filesystem". It's impossible for me to be able to change either of these directorys to anything else. And believe me, I've tried.

I've tried adding my photos "under the main photo tab" on the main screen held on my external storage HD and I have no problem with that...

Is the reason I cannot change the background because my firetv is not rooted, (root is not possible, due to when it was produced).

I would really appreciate any advice or help on this, as I'm googled out, and I've given up looking at the amount of tube vids telling me how to install kodi...

Is it possible for me to use adbfire to add images to the firetv somehow?

Weird thing is, nearly all of the folders I have looked in within "external storage" and "root filesystem" are empty...

One good thing is that I managed to find a tube video showing how to update kodi on a firetv without loosing ones settings using adbfire, as I wanted to update to 14.2.

Thanks chaps for reading my help request... as I seem to be all out of luck at the moment. (wish it was as easy to change the wallpaper on my firetv as it is on my laptop).

Hello, XDA developers. As you may see, this is my first post, but I would like you to tell me what happened with my cellphone.

Something weird happened with my S Advance after I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod 11. I was playing on it, as I changed MinFree settings and overclocked the processor and wanted to check how the performance increased. Suddenly, the phone abruptly shut off without showing the traditional dialogue box that should appear.
When I took the phone to connect it to my battery pack I waited for like 5 minutes and the battery symbol never appeared; after that I tried to turn it on but it didn't work either. As soon as I arrived home, I connected a proper charger to the S Advance and, still, it didn't respond at all.
About one hour later I took the phone and now, when I tried to turn it on (in normal and recovery mode), it would only vibrate for a few seconds, as if it was actually turning on - with the difference that nothing was happening. The only boot mode that I could enter to was the download mode.
Saddened because I thought it was bricked, I came to my room and plugged it to my computer. The screen instantly showed the battery charging sign, and when I turned it on everything was normal. I used my wall charger to try, and it keeps working fine.

I understand that when a phone battery reaches 0%, and you try plug it to a charger you need to wait like 10 minutes to actually turn it on. But in this case was an hour! And when I finally turned the phone the battery was at 0%.
Could you tell me what happened (for potential future ocasions)?

so i was toying with going back to an aosp kk rom but when i last tried it seemed like my signal would drop more than on say viperone. is there something i could do to fix this? ( i personally enjoyed 4.4.4 more than any of the aosp roms for 5.0.

Not sure when the next firmware update will be but I just wanted to know if anyone else had any info for the next update. I'm rooted stock on my sprint s6 edge, the only thing that bothers me is the battery and reception. Seems like when I enable LTE/CDMA under mobile networks my battery dies faster and very poor reception but if I enable CDMA only my battery last longer and the reception is quite good, aside from certain areas. So, if anyone has any info on when the next update will be and what will be fixed, I'd appreciate the information.

I have a sprint galaxy s5. I don't use sprint anymore because they suck. They won't domestically unlock it for me even tho I own the phone. My question is can I swap the motherboard with a European (G900F) without any issues? Thank you in advance.

So Microsoft confirmed that they will be testing a Windows 10 ROM that will install onto an Android phone, specifically the Xiaomi Mi4 to start with. My question is if it will install onto the Mi4, then couldn't we technically install it onto the N6 if somebody was able to get a hold of the ROM?

I've used windows phone in the past (windows 6 and previous versions), and wasn't the biggest fan of it, but I am interested in seeing what they do with 10. I have been trying the different tech previews for PC, and I like what they have done so far with that. From what I've read, it looks like it could be a dual boot with Android. That would be pretty cool to at least checkout. Thoughts?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 I got at AT&T and paid it off... so it's completely mine. Then I had them unlock the phone for me so now I'm in Ukraine using this phone, but it's in English and there is no way I could have the phone be completely in Russian. I've used a third-party app called "MoreLocale" to change the locale to Russia (had me do some ADM/fastboot codes to allow it) but that didn't completely change it to Russian.

It changed some applications to Russian which have Russian translations to it, but the ROM itself is in English... I'm trying to get it to Russian, but I'm afraid to root it and flash a new ROM on to it as I'm afraid I might somehow re-lock it to AT&T service or something else. Basically, I'm afraid of loosing the use of this phone. A phone like this one here in Ukraine is expensive, and they don't have deals like they do in US where you get to pay off monthly.

So my question is, is it safe for me to root the phone and flash a custom ROM onto it?

Another question, if it is safe for me to flash a custom ROM onto it, does it have to be AT&T compatible, or can it be international version now that the phone is unlocked?

Thanks in advance.

hi, in the past i have used z3 compact and i dont like the sony's rom in it. i'm so much in love in nexus devices, but the nexus 5's battery life is horrible, and nexus 6 is too big for my taste. what i love when using the z3 compact ws the battery seemed to last forever. however i really love the stock google os and wouldnt want to use any other custom android os like touchwiz etc.

reading on some news, i heard that sony is releasing the aosp for their xperia devices? that means it's supported by sony and it's stable right? is it the right time to jump back to z3 compact and fash the aosp and have nexus like experience but with much better battery life unlike the nexus 5?

please enlight me, because i read in some aosp thread here, there are bugs here and there which don't make it for daily driver. thanks

How to add my photo to my sent messages ?

Hello guys
My question is strange but important,
I have a seven inch Tablet with Two-Lines , and a four inche HTC device , I heard that there is a program allow me to use the HTC device as a Bluetooth headset for the tablet device , I mean if I receive a call on the tablet I can answer by the HTC as a Bluetooth headsets .
