I have the CDA 1280-7858 Sony Xperia Z1 Compact model. I have yet not been able to upgrade my phone to latest lollipop, since T-mobile UK have not released it yet.
My phone is carrier unlocked, but bootloader CANNOT be unlocked, this leaves no possible way for me to add a custom rom , right?
What are my options here? Sit and wait forever or just get a new phone?

As you can see in the attachment, only T-mobile remains on the 14.4.A.0.157 release in the UK carriers.

Hello, I was trying to change my LG L40's bootanimation.zip, but replacing the file with proper permissions doesn't remove the default "Tmobile" animation. Rooted, I haven't changed the ROM, and if possible, I preffer a manual solution. Note that I have nothing to do with Tmobile, I bought it at normal price from an electronics shop.

So I really want this phone but I don't want to use AT&Ts service. Can I just Buy one straight from HTC and pop a T-Mobile sim in it? Or do I need to sim unlock it first?

I have s5 G900T and would like to unlock it. I cannot get unlock code from carrier since I am not in US

Need information on ROM which I can flash so that it is converted to international version?

Is G900F unlocked international version? G900FXXU1BOD3

Since the 4.6.1 update my phone is using a T-Mobile APN associated with tethering when I turn on the hotspot feature. As such my tethering gets blocked by T-Mobile, I didn't have this problem with the old version.

I have been searching around for the APN in some of the phones APN files, but haven't found it. Is it possible to modify the APN the phone is using for hotspot in 4.6.1?

T-Mobile the last carrier to update ...I hope we get 5.1.1 soon

What's the group's experience been with the above? I'm using an unlocked Ascend Mate 2 now, probably an upgrade in every way over the E..., but I'm interested in a more pocketable option. I've tethered with this thing for months with no tethering data marked off. Lately it's been picking up some though it's an amount I can live with.

The idea here is to use the E for talk, text, very light pda-ish use (some email and google keep), and tethering with my tablets doing the heavy work.

I did root using ioroot, installed LS980_AutoRec.apk, wiped, flashed KK_Baseband_LS980.zip and CloudyG2_2.2.zip.

I do not get any network. I'm unable to make forward progress. Any ideas?

Not sure if this is important:
- no message that SIM card has been inserted
- baseband version is set to unknown
- imei etc are also unknown.

Installed twrp and cloudy g3. First 3 days I loved it. JUST starting today, i cannot make outgoing calls much of the time, just silence. People at work telling me they call me and it goes to voicemail after one ring. I sit my phone on the windowsill to get good signal, 3-4 bars of 4g. I call it from landline phone..... straight to voicemail. When I called t-mobile she mumbled something under her breath about lg g3 and t-mobile problems before asking me to update my software. Told her I was on custom rom so she dropped that conversation. Starting today my phone is HUNTING for signal constantly changing between 4g, 3g, H, E, and no signal at all. All over the place with the signal.

Also, no idea if it is related, but starting today. EVERY single time i try to reboot the phone I have to pull the battery because once it is off, holding the power button does nothing. A "restart" also causes this. Help!

Will a Verizon S6 work fully on T-Mobile (including voice, 3G, 4G LTE)? I'm not too concerned about Band 12 at the moment.

Can I use the Verizon version of S6 on T-Mobile without any hiccups? I'm not concerned about band 12 (I don't have it in my area at the moment).

I know some of the bands on Verizon is disabled, but can those be activated by rooting and messing with the LTE options?

Just got the tmobile LG G3. I had the HTC one m9 for a week. G3 has 0 bars at home. M9 has 1 or 2 bars but still wouldn't connect or work really. Why g3 so bad? Radio crappy?

Why would I want to root? Could I safely get rid of apps I won't use? So they won't run ever? Disabling apps has caused issues maybe. Like google newsstand and etc.

How can I get the themes option I have seen in videos? In app update app there's no smart world.

Can I root using only my phone?

When playing video sometimes I'll change sound yet only the phone icon sound slider opens and sound does not change. Sound in music and movies settings screen was up all the way almost yet video has quiet sound. Not video cuz if I restart phone it seems normal.

Can I get the beam live wallpaper that is In the m9 and gs5?
Why are there no live wallpaper on the g3?

I have T-Mobile and the APN is set to the recommended settings found all over the internet. Roaming data worked just fine in Japan (Softbank and Docomo), but I dont have roaming data in the Philippines. Im currently in Metro Manila, connected to Smart, have a strong cell signal, but no data (! next to the bars). My sister has a LG G3 and she has data just fine. Is there a setting I need to change? Last night with the help of root explorer i replaced the system font files. " smart gothic font" when the phone rebooted it stuck on lg logo.. my was is rooted but i did not install cwm recovery on it. I also did hard reset by Volume down + Power button, but still it didn't work.
First i used TOT method, i installed Lg flash tool and tried my best to flash software file from it but it gives this error when i press the Yellow arrow "failed previous load()" I loaded both Dll and Dz files (Extracted from KDZ file).
Then i used the KDZ method. LG flash tool 2014, did normal flash but in "LG Mobile support tool" in the 3rd step where S/W is upgrading, it stuck at 4% and says " upgrade stopped due to an error" and tells me to reboot my phone and then try again to resume upgrading i did that several times but didn't work.
This is the file i downloaded for my LG G FLEX D959 "T-Mobile KitKat D95920h_00.kdz" i was running Official Kitkat on it. 4.4.2
I hope its not a hard brick :( cz changing fonts doesn't do that big thing...
Help me please. :confused:
