My battery life on this phone is positively shameful. Does anyone have any tips to extend battery life?

Dear fellow TF300 users,

This tablet of mine was holding onto STOCK rom until I couldn't take its lagginess and poor loading of images even when using my company email. So I decided to take on the route to ROOT, UNLOCK, Install new custom ROMs...

My tablet AsusTF300TL has been successfully UNLOCKED, Root and even installed a new ROM (KatKISS 4.4.4) . Its recovery was TEAMWIN - TWRP. The tablet even had its encryption data (due to my company email policy.)

Even with all this, it still behaved very sloppy, laggy. I really cherish this piece of IT equipment. Untill I downloaded the recent OUTLOOK Preview App and the app asked me to perform encryption again. This went hay wired as the encryption wasn't succesful and I had to enter into recovery mode. Best of all, I backup my ROM only in my SD Card but in recovery mode, it couldnt restore successfully. I can't copy the backup file from SD card to Storage.

So I took some advise from the forum here to unbrick my tablet. It was successful, and I tried it again with Outlook Preview app. This time I was on stock ROM and still encrypton had issues. Interrupted halfway, going into TWRP recovery... and use the same UNBRICK method all over again.

I believe now, my tablet is on Stock rom, and nor ROOTed and I reckon I will need to reinstall back TWRP recovery. Definitely, for sure it is UNLOCKED as I tend to restart the tablet and I do see a short liner, tablet is unlocked..

But with stock rom installed, after being UNbricked, the tablet still behaves very poorly, laggy .

Tried to check on storage details, it is newly formatted, barely 5% of space being used. RAM used always tend to be hovevrying about 65% to 70% usage.

I wish to find out if there's anything else to improve this situation, should I try out new custom ROMs? Further to that, this tablet has been with me for almost 4 yrs, and its ON OFF button has been very insensitiev... it requires a harder force.

i install kitkat version to get more battery life... The result is not good...

I make full wipe, root, greenify, freeze apps... What you suggest to get best battery life...

Its not real if i get 3 hours for screen time...

Hey I've got the Canadian Bell version and I don't see any information on this model in particular. Just wondering how do I root it?

I've been getting horrible battery life and I hear rooting it helps. Any tips on what to do after I root to extend battery life is also greatly appreciated.

I've noticed that when I leave my phone idle at work, it will drain about 2% an hour even though my signal is stronger (usually around -95 dB). At home, I have a fairly weak LTE signal (usually -100 to -105), but my device will not drain nearly as quickly when idle.

I've been sitting at my desk for the last 3 hours, with maybe 2 or 3 minutes of SoT and it's gone from 90% down to 84%. At home, I'd see about 1-2% drop in the same amount of time.

Are there any engineers out there who would know why this thing would happen? Is it because the phone is switching back and forth between different towers?

This didn't happen with my G3 as the behaviour and battery drain was consistent amongst the two locations.

Alright, so, I converted my M9 from AT&T stock crap to the wonderful world of Developer Edition. On my M8, battery life seemed golden after doing the same thing. But on my M9, I seem to drain hella quick. What I'm noticing is that my Google Play Services is taking up most of the battery life. Just wondering if this is normal or maybe I did a bad convert?

I've already factory reset my phone about 3x since the conversion (I have a mental problem, I reset my phone every few months) and the problem seems to be persistent. I don't use any of those fake cleaning apps, virus scanners or task managers. My main apps are FaceBook, Instagram and Snapchat.

I'm currently running Krypton v1.4 (Kitkat 4.4.4) and am considering upgrading to ParanoidAndroid 5.1.X (Lollipop 5.1.X), but I'm concerned about differences in battery life. Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

I received my S6 Edge on Wednesday and rooted it the same day via Ping Pong. I'm on G925TUVU1AOCG. Is that even the latest version? Anyways, battery life is literally ****. I can't get more than 2 hours of Screen on Time. Even my Galaxy Nexus from 2012 gets at least 2+ hours.

Is this because I'm not on the latest version, rooted, or something else people have experience with?
