I might not be the first one to ask this,
but how do you get out of the Damn Download mode ? :/

Quick phone info... Android 4.4, rooted, Xposed installed, etc.
When I connect my phone to PC via USB, I get the 'Download Mode' bar on the phone but it quickly changes to what looks like an old television and the black n white fuzzy screen.
On the PC, it opens up about 15 different drives available and wants me to format every drive...
Needless to say, I'm trying to get back to stock because my Volume/Power button is not functioning and I figured going back to stock would be a good start. Oh wait, I can't even get back to stock.

Please, if anyone has suggestions or tips let me know.

Real quick, I did replace the power/volume cable to see if it helps. I can turn the phone on with the power button. I can use the volume buttons to make selections during Hard Reset mode. But they are useless while the phone is booted up. :confused:

hi,I was flasing my Stock kitkat LG G2 to stock lollipop with the LG flash tool 2014. But, flash tool kinda stopped working in the middle and the update got stuck. So now, My LG g2 became stuck on download mode. Is there anyway to fix this? please help

Coming from a note 3 / 4 it was straight forward to get into full service mode and check options like CA combinations or if WB AMR is active. Usually got there through *#0011#, key input: Q, key input: 0000 and waited 10 seconds. I can't tell if Carrier Aggregation is enabled.

Doesn't seem to work on the Galaxy S6. Any ideas?

I've got an N910C with Lollipop ( I did a factory reset after upgrading and cleared cache) . It randomly decides to reboot, and will keep doing so. After a reboot, I can use it for about a minute till it reboots again. Booting into safe mode fixes it temporarily and it stays fine after safe mode, a regular reboot doesn't help.

I'd prefer not to factory reset, and would like to find the cause (app/sd card? Sandisk 8GB btw)

Yesterday I got a update on Lenovo s850 and when I updated it. Th phone got stuck in recovery mode. It is not starting and no hard reset menu are showing. Is there any way to install new stock rom and can anyone tell me the whole procedure of this. Please help me I am in problem.

Hi. I'm using a T-Mobile LG-G2 with firmware version D80120g. I used AutoRec to install TWRP, but now I'd like to go back to stock everything so that I can get the OTA upgrade to Lollipop. I was planning on using this method, but upon trying to use download mode, it tries to update the firmware, but hangs at 0 percent, while saying ROOTED in red letters at the bottom.

Is there a way to either a.) Go back to stock without use of download mode, or b.) Fix this "ROOTED" message so that it can update the firmware normally and enter download mode properly? Any help is appreciated.

I have Samsung galaxy S5 . a couple days ago i had unexpected shutdown and could not switch on. so i had to re install new firmware. so i download latest firmware and installed. it was fine. but when i start phone its says factory mode is on and some of applications get stuck. i did factory reset didn't work. i did everything i can but not working. same thing factory mode is on. i did root the phone try custom ROM also. but same thing.

i did try formatting from Recovery mode but its says E: cant mount invalid argument.

Any one can help ?

Some help, I have an S6 Edge which is from Vodafone UK and running XXU1A0DC, I just tried to flash (XXU1AOE4 – an unbranded Saudi release) via ODIN (which I have done numerous times with S3, S4 and S5) and got stuck in Download mode at NAND write start !!!

The ROM did not flash and after a while I just restarted my phone and all is fine but still on the old ROM.

After a quick search most threads talk about partition issues and using a PIT file to recover.

Given the ROM is unbranded why the issue, have done this probably 50+ times and never had an issue.

In order to root my phone, I had to wipe data and factory reset it (because of reactivation lock issue). Before doing factory reset I forgot to move my data from private mode to normal mode.
After the factory reset and rooting the phone, when I am selecting private mode its asking me to set it up from start (which was obvious) but now I am not able to access the data(files/pictures) which I put in private mode before this factory reset.

Any ideas what can I do to access that missing data?

since I'm a Hong Konger, i apologize for my bad english
i have flashed the slim rom through cwm recovery to my xperia z2
after flashing the rom, it seems having trhe sound issues
as a result, i was going to wipe it and restore my backup in cwm
however, when entering the recovery, the screen has gone black and the led turns into orange color
i have tried to flash the recovery again through adb in my computer
it didn't work out, after i typed "fastboot flash boot boot.img",
a command of "waiting for device" popped out
but i am quite sure the adb driver is installed
please are there any solution for reflashing the recovery in my phone?
i would appreciate a lot if somebody can help me out

So I accidentally bricked my phone a few days ago and now it is resting as a brick on my desk, but how did all of this happen, you may ask?

Well, the story is rather simple, I had the Simple ROM V. 1.4 installed on my G2 and decided to update it to version 2.0, which is posted here somewhere, but what I didn't notice was that the file I was downloading (even though it said it was compatible with all versions) was not for the D800 but for the LS980 and this bricked the phone.

First I was stuck on fastboot mode and was able to get my download mode back, but it kept saying that it couldn't flash the stock rom because it was the wrong model.

Looking online and through these forums, I found out that it was because the download mode that it had was not the right one to use, and that I needed to "destroy" download mode, enter once again in fastboot mode and flash the new download mode, this, however, turned out out to be impossible as the fastboot mode is no longer being detected by Windows nor Linux.

I installed back the USB drivers, installed Android ADB, changed the UDEV rules with mew vendors ID from the list provided by Google, updated the drivers on my PC and even tried to change the directory in which the phone would appear.

The problem resumes to this:

When in fastboot mode (connected to the PC) and type

I get back nothing.

Curious thing is that the phone does appear on Device Manager as an Android ADB device and when on Linux I use the

Is there any lollipop ROM for s4 mini duos which has the floating window mode features???!!. Its there in PAC ROM KK and CARBON ROM KK and its a very useful feature as you can open any app in a floating mini windowed mode inside other app.

As of Yesterday, I was able to access the band selection mode on my S6 by keying in *#2263#. However, it seems that I am no longer able to do that. Does anyone know why this is the case, and is there any alternatives to accessing this function? I received a software update this morning, so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it.
