Hi, I really want to use stock browser on my S6, but my bookmarks wont synchronize with Samsung account. I can see all of my bookmarks in Chrome browser, it synchronizes with Google account fine. I tried all settings, all syncs ended with no errors for both Google and Samsung account, but no bookmarks are imported to stock browser under Samsung account folder. There ar lots of threads in Internet, but without working solutions. Thanx!

I read the post about asking questions, so I'm going to try to make this organized and all inclusive. I apologize in advance if it's too long.
Preface: I'm a long time iOS user. I got this tablet for free with some AT&T promotion and I'm glad I did. I'm loving Android and how customizable it is.
Background: Chrome for iOS can only cast videos to Chromecast if the website has enabled the functionality. But I read a few articles (Engadget, Lifehacker) that described how Chrome for Android can cast any embedded video to Chromecast as long as it's compatible (HTML5 MP4). This was great news because I could really use this with my current situation. I'm a medical student, and I'll be taking the Boards in 2 months. I have bought a few 3rd party resources for prep. They provide various materials, including video lectures (and there are a ton of them).
Problem: When playing these videos on desktop browsers, they play as Flash videos. But when they are accessed on a Mobile browser, they play as HTML5. This works fine on my iPad when using Safari or Chrome. But I wanted to cast them to the big screen. So I navigated to the videos in Chrome on my Android Tablet. But, instead of falling back to HTML5 video, the player frame displays the message "Flash Version 10.1 or greater is required. You have no flash plugin installed. Download latest plugin here." This situation is true for 3 of the 4 different sites I'm using.
Things I've Tried: I uninstalled Flash a few days back. But thinking maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was ever installed at all, I wiped cache and rebooted. But I still got the same message. I searched and searched and searched some more (Google). But the hits I kept getting mostly had to do with with Devs on forums trying to fix their own site or how Flash died lol.
THE Question: Is there anything I can do to fix this (or any workaround), or is this something the developer of the website has to change on their side? (If that's true, then wow I wasted a lot of time lol)
Questions just for my understanding, nothing really necessary:
-What is the difference between iOS and Android that's causing this inconsistency?
(I mean obviously they're different, but I figured websites identify them as "Mobile
Devices either way)
-Why do these websites see Chrome on Android as a browser that supports Flash?
-I know I can just mirror from my computer, but Casting would just be easier in my
situation as it is. I also just really want to understand this problem.
On another thread, the developer of vGet describes the weird website situation nicely.
"Mobile Mode: Pretends to be a Mobile browser without Flash support. Some sites support HTML5 videos, but only use them if Flash is NOT supported by the browser (which is kind of silly but it happens)."
Here is a thread I found of someone with the same issue. (But it's kind of old, and the solution was to use a different browser and install flash, which doesn't work for casting).

There are people who are still looking for a method to install Java on Chrome OS.. and if i told you that Oracle's Java is perfectly installable on Chrome OS without Crouton/Linux/etc? Yeah, that's true.
We are going to treat Chrome OS as a Linux's distribution, in this guide. Because? Well, Chrome OS can run linux binaries..
Let's go:
First of all, press CTRL + ALT + T, this will open the "crosh" (the terminal emulator of Chrome OS), write on crosh "shell" and press Enter, after that write "sudo su" and press Enter.
You will be asked for a password, it usually ranges from build to build, try one of these passwords:
Yeah! Now you have the supreme power.. in the Chrome's shell.
Now write “mount -o remount,exec,rw /” and press Enter, now we mounted the file system as writable.
Do "cd /home" and press Enter.
If you are running Chrome OS on a 32 bit hardware, write "wget http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/downlo...undleId=106238 -O jre.tar.gz" and press Enter; if you're on a 64 bit hardware, write "wget http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/downlo...undleId=106240 -O jre.tar.gz" and press Enter. This command will download the Oracle's Java Runtime.
After that, do "tar zxvf jre.tar.gz", this will extract the Java Archive.
Do "mv jre1.8* /bin" and press Enter, after that do "cd /bin", this will take you to the "folder of the executables".
Finally write "ln -s /bin/jre1.8.0_45/bin/java /bin/java" (WARNING, the number "45" should be replaced with the number written on the website of Java, if you can find such as "Java Version 8 Update 49", instead of 45 you will need to put 49).
Let's try Java. Do "java -version", if the shell will write the version of Java then the game is done. Welcome to Java's world.
UNFORTUNATELY, on some builds, the Java's graphical programs cannot be seen and will freeze your system (If this will happen, reboot and don't use Java's graphical programs. P.S. you can still use Java's command line programs). In other builds, Java work perfectly without any problem.
That was really easy. With this method, you can execute other linux binaries and Chromebooks will finally be the perfect alternative to traditional laptops.

Seguendo le istruzioni di un mio amico sono riuscito ad installare Java su Chrome OS, vi riporto il procedimento di seguito:

Ora che sei il capo supremo sul tuo dispositivo, fai “cd /home” e premi Invio, questo ti porterà alla cartella home.
Se ti trovi in un sistema a 32 bit, scrivi “wget http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/downlo...undleId=106238 -O jre.tar.gz” e premi Invio, se invece ti trovi in un sistema a 64 bit, scrivi “wget http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/downlo...undleId=106240 -O jre.tar.gz” e premi Invio, questo comando ti scaricherà un archivio tar.gz che conterrà tutti i file di Java.
Successivamente, scrivi “tar zxvf jre.tar.gz” e premi Invio, questo comando ci scompatterà l’archivio contenente i file di Java.
Fai “mv jre1.8* /bin” seguito da invio e successivamente “cd /bin” e premi Invio, questo ti porterà alla cartella home, quella dove si trovano i binari importanti di Chrome, i programmi.
Per finire scrivi “ln -s /bin/jre1.8.0_45/bin/java /bin/java” (ATTENZIONE, il numero “45” si deve sostituire col numero scritto sul sito web di Java, se trovi ad esempio “Java Version 8 Update 49″, al posto di 45 dovrai mettere 49)
Ora prova a scrivere “java -version”, se ti scrive la versione di Java, allora il gioco é fatto e finalmente potrai usare Java sul tuo dispositivo Chrome OS.
Purtroppo funzionerà solo tramite linea di comando e su alcune build, i programmi java con interfaccia, non si vedono, anzi, blocca tutto. (Nel caso vi si bloccasse tutto, riavviate).

E’ stato veramente facile, vero? Questo perché Chrome OS é solo una distribuzione Linux con un gestore finestre creato da Google, diverso dal solito. Dobbiamo iniziare a vedere Chrome OS come una distribuzione Linux e non come un “nuovo” sistema operativo, questo ci permette di pensare più in grande. Ma cosa ci ha fermati fino ad oggi? Beh, Google ha pensato di aggiungere la funzione di “noexec” alle cartelle di sistema, tranne alla cartella bin (altrimenti i binari al suo interno non funzionerebbero) per evitare che virus e altri programmi, modificassero il sistema. Qui abbiamo sfruttato la cartella bin dove si può eseguire qualsiasi cosa perché non ha la funzione di “noexec“.

Hi I installed CM12 and noticed that there I can open more tabs (15 tabs) than in stock ROM (6 tabs). The reason as far as I know is that CM12 allows chrome to use much more ram than the stock allows.
Is there a way to allow the stock rom to allow chrome to use more ram ?
I tried CloudyG3 ROM still had the same issue.
I noticed this problem because I came from a ONEPLUSONE and there you could open as many tabs as you wanted .
This is good for multitasking and is the only problem I encounter with the stock.

Got my brand new AT&T Note Pro this week and am really happy with it. The only performance hiccup I've noticed though, is scrolling in Chrome is really laggy. Any suggestions for improving it? Also, are there any other good browsers you guys are using?
