I've been used CM for a long time,but recently I found a article of GIZMODO which cause me a huge concern.

The report (written by a Carnegie Mellon professor and published in Vocativ and Gizmodo) stirred up widespread concern, identifying apps that mysteriously “know everything about you.” If you dig deeper into the report, you'll see that the company with the most of these privacy-invading apps on the list is Cheetah Mobile. These include CM Security, Clean Master, and Battery Doctor.

CM Security-AppLock & AntiVirus flags for 29 privacy permissions, some of which include call logs, text messages, and contact lists to name a few. And where the data is used thereafter is unknown to anyone else but Cheetah, leaving its users open to privacy vulnerabilities.

Anything by Cheetah Mobile has been known for quite a while to be not only basically functionally worthless,but just plain evil. Hijacks your device, throws up nag ads.

With Cheetah Mobile’s aggressive mobile advertising foray as the public company advances its investors’ interests, it’s evident that private information from users of Clean Master, CM Security, and Battery Doctor are fed into its advertising system to deliver ads to Cheetah Mobile users and then monetize their data at the expense of its users’ privacy as suggested by Gizmodo.

I decide to uninstall it and hope this can help others.

hi everybody
i've a problem in my lg optimus black , he doesn't boot up after i tried to install a custom recovery by an app called rashr flash i did a backup first in the same app after that i clicked on insall then the phone reboot and showed that security error message
please help me to solve this problem , the lg is not even my phone please help

i have a very important question about root methods :

All these recents chinese and "exotics" methods are SAFE themselves ???!!! ( vroot ,iroot .... ) ...and the last one with KINGROOT . Which are "good" ?

these apps are backdors ? they are viruses or malwares themselves ? (trojan , IMEI and datas piracy ..... )

I see lots of discusions and rumors about these apps but never REAL devellopers opinions and tests here on XDA ( for members sensitization ) ,and i think that it's necessary to clarify ,it's important !

hello, I downloaded the rashr app from google play, I flashed a new rom and I even made backups to be safe, well when phone came back on its goes to LG opening screen and security issue flashes and then the phone turns off, ive troubleshoot for hours called like 3 help lines master reset , tried it all, is all hope lost did this app brick my phone? someone rescue me please!!!

Hey guys i got a metro PCS galaxy s6, SM-G920T1 that has a security error when i boot up, something about a flashed software and its locked. I looked through a few threads but couldn't find the answer, it has a good baseband, G920T1UVU1AOCH, but the IMEI is a weird number but not null, shows up as 3500000000006, anyone know how i can fix it or is it a paper weight?

I have tried to reload the SW on there, it says sucessful but the IMEI did not fix

hi i just got my galaxy s6 edge i rooted custom recovery and now i keep on getting this error
