Has anyone been sucessful in getting hotspot working on the att version of the G Flex 2.

Have one unlocked on T-Mobile and none of the usual suspects aka apps are working so was thinking there had to be a native mod.

Changing the value in databases with SQL Lite I can confirm doesn't work.

Thoughts?

I've seen this happen on any rom whether it be stock or custom. WiFi tether or stock tether. I can't vouch for USB tether as I don't use it much. Basically the 4G stops working all together. My Hotspot will still be on. So what I do to fix it is go in my apn settings and refresh the connection by selecting an alternate or selecting an alternate and setting back on the same apn. Does anyone have an answer for why this happening? Is it the note 3? Or is it t-mobile? I've ran a speed test when this happens and it does not send or receive packets.

I have the unlimited everything plan with 5GB of hotspot. I've already used all of that. Is there anyway to bypass that limit?

After updating to lollipop my hotspot when ever connected to my pc it's say limited connection and no Internet access. I have tried with few pc and it's showing the same. I have tried factory reset and changing the ssid name but no luck. Can anyone help I'm using stock rom. Tq

Recently I upgraded to Android Revolution 5.0 and 5.1 and started having problems with my Wireless Network when using my phone's hotspot. I fist thought it was my computer but I don't have this problem with other Wi-Fi networks. I have use my phone's hotspot for years and never had this issue.

Basically each time I turn on my mobile hotspot on my phone and reconnect my computer a numeric value is added to the wireless network name. For example, I have named my hotspot "HTC" and each time I reconnect, it's renamed to HTC 1, HTC 2, HTC 3. I know it's not a big issue as I'm still able to use my hotspot but it's irritating as I have to configure it each time before jumping online.

I have spent a few hours reading and all I could find was information on how to rename my network connection and how to delete and/or merge networks. I have even edited the registry and I keep having the same issue. I'm running windows 7 by the way and my Network Adapter is up to date.

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Thanks

Any one find a workaround for the hotspot subscription? Or an app that works?

Hi guys,

checking if anyone else has this problem and knows how to at least work around it? I suspect it is not really specific to HTC M9 but rather something general Android (as I had similar issue before with Sony Z2).

The problem is - from time to time (usually after using for while) I am unable to turn off Portable Wi-Fi hotspot. It cannot be disabled from pull-down quick-menu or from settings itself, nothing happens at all it just keeps running. I have tried turning Airplane mode on and off, that doesn't make any difference, only restart helps.

It is a new phone with Vodafone Australia (software number 1.32.710.16), Android 5.0.2, HTC Sense 7.0.

Thanks!

OK i have the 32gn unlocked versio, and i know it has stock mobile hotspot, but that way tmobile track my usage and i can tether 5gb only,so how can i use another wifi tether app i have tried use wifi tether router but i cant make it work pleasehelp thanks......

Enabled stock tether with help of XPosed Framework and Moto Tether Module.
Tried the straitforward way of just modifying build.prop and moto tether module but wasn't able to get out to the web. Curious to know if all my steps were necessairy. Here is what I did to get it working.

Needed:
Root
SQLLiteEditor
Build.Prof editing ability
XPosed Framework & Module Moto Tether

Steps:
Edited the following database with SQLLiteEditor.
\data\data\com.android.providers.telephony\databas es\telephony.db
Opened carriers
Filter/searched for the word boost for my ignorance here I edit all of them.
Under column 'type' change any that say default,MMS to default,MMS,run and also change any that say fota,ia to fota,ia,dun
Exit SQLLiteEditor
I rebooted and installed the XPosed Framework and module Moto Tether
Changed the Line in the build.prop ro.mot.tether_dun_required=1 to ro.mot.tether_dun_required=0
Rebooted and then it worked.

Is it possible to make a Wifi hostspot on the Ubuntu phone yet?

And since the phone has two sim cards, I was wondering if one sim card could be the specific one for the data traffic over Wifi, while the other one could be a normal call sim. I see a ton of options if this was possible. Anyone knows?
