[Q]Editing boot.img while porting topic

Hey there, there is a lot of tutorial on how to port Roms, but there is no specific tutorial on how to edit boot.img while porting ( which seems to be very important for porting 4.4 and up Roms)
So can you please make a tutorial on editing boot.img or give me some hint on this? I am using China phone as no source code or no help from the manufacturer.
Device I am using: symphony w70q
CPU: msm8610 quad core
Gpu: adreno 302
Ram: 512 MB
ROM: 4 GB
Android version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0
The ROM I want to port: cm12.1 from moto e (msm8610 dual core)
A developer has ported a carbon ROM for our device, but he doesn't want to share information, and if I is that custom kernel the port cm12.1 stucks at boot logo
Thanks in advance for your help!!
