I recently purchased a Moto X (2nd edition) from Verizon.

From what I have learned this phone cannot be rooted.
The bootloader is locked and I'm not an expert on gaining write access or whatever.
My issue is that after updating to lollipop my volume when I play music (via Spotify), is about half as loud. I bought new speakers and even a small sub for my car and I have to max out my stereo and my phone volume (which does not have the volume level warning my other phones have had). I have tried a bunch of "volume boost" apps with no success or change to my sound at all.
More than 50% of my phone usage is devoted to playing music and it is KILLING me.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
