Thank you for taking the time to gander at my issue.
FYI, I am running latest CM 12.1 nightly (stock CM kernel)
So, I went to bed and plugged in my device to charge, as I normally do. However, upon waking up I found my display almost unreadable. It's hard for me to describe properly what I am faced with, so bear with me if you could.
My screen is almost completely "washed out"; colors are faded, and there is an almost white "hue" hovering over everything. The edges of the screen seem the most normal, but the bulk of the screen is affected by this phenomena. What's weird is that the more the battery drains, the more it returns to normal; upon a full charge, the phenomena is at its worst.
I have wiped and re-flashed my device to no avail. Screenshots, shown on any other device, are immaculate; I have no reason to believe this to be a software problem; FWIW, the phone is as functional as ever.
I am hesitant to speculate what exactly happened, but my rudimentary knowledge of physical hardware leads me to believe that somehow the layers of the screen became separated.
I am posing this query to you all in hopes of some insight as to what exactly the situation is that I am facing. While I am no "expert", I am definitely comfortable working on my electronics and, if the situation demands it, am more than willing to crack this beast open in order to fix what ails it; however, if there is no recourse other than complete replacement, so be it. I am most curious as to what the exact problem is, and I hope that you all, who have been so good to me in the past, can help in any way.
Again, thank you for your time.
