So I have read all over the internet there is a FM chip that is not enabled by default in the galaxy note 4 and many other modern smartphones .
I have also read carriers disable the chip or dont enable the chip by default.
I called Tmo customer service and the woman I spoke with knew about the issue cause others have called inquiring about enabling the FM transmitter in the device to listen to local FM broadcast but ensured and insisted that tmobile has nothing to do with enabling or disabling any hardware in the phone .
So she transfered me to samsung directly and that person told me to just download an fm radio app in the playstore and I explained the apps say no FM radio available and the software needs the fm chip on the circuit boat to be enabled and figured maybe samsung techs knew how to accomplish such a task perhaps by entering a code or other such method . But this person didnt seem to know much about anything and was having a hard time grasping I was looking to get the fm chip enabled to listen to local fm broadcasts and that call ended with that person telling me to contact the app developer and that dev would be able to enable the hardware on my phone
So has anyone successfully activated the fm chip in the sm-910t ???
Id really like to be able to listen to local fm radio
thanks
