New to the Verizon S5 topic

I'm just looking for some assistance on where to even begin. Lol. I bought a S5 for 5 and want to root and rom it. I am coming from the whole note line. I have a note 3 right now running biggins rom and love it. If someone can point me in a direction of the chaos of posts as to rooting it and some stable rooms for it. I'd be grateful of your assistance. There is a ton of posts in the S5 line. Thanks in advance.
