Is there a way to hide the quick settings panel? topic

It totally annoys me that I have a phone with 5.7" screen but I'm only able to see 2 expanded notifications, I like Google's approach better with the quick settings hidden, they're just a swipe away, is there a way to hide the samsung quick settings and activate them with a swipe or a button? :confused:
