[A] - Headphone volume P7 EMUI 3 and EMUI 2.X topic

Hi friends,

this is a small guide to switch the EU Volume limitation.
The changes turn off the Popup-Alarm (appears by increase the volume). And the volume is generally increased.


1. Your Phone has to be rooted!
2. Go to /data/cust/prop/local.prop with file explorer ... and search the following lines:

EMUI 2.X
Add in this lines a #:
ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1

If its looks like this:
# ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
# ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1

EMUI 3.X
Add in this lines a #:
ro.config.hw.security_volume = 9
ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1

If its looks like this:
# ro.config.hw.security_volume = 9
# ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1

( - Only "ro.config.hw.security_volume" has changed to EMUI 3. The result is that the volume is even quieter than standard EMUI 2. Once the settings have been adjusted, it is again nice and loud :) - )

3. Restart your Phone and have fun!
