I use my Android tablets for reading, using Google Play Books. I prefer a bright white background. With my Nexus 7 (2013) it's a pure white background, just the way I like it. With the Tab S 8.4 I can't seem to achieve bright white. It's more like a light sepia. I know sepia is a choice but that's a very dark (to my eyes) background. I've also played around with the Screen Mode but none of the choices seem to change the GPB background at all. I've turned Reading Mode on and off but I don't see any difference.

I know there are other reading apps but I like having a large library stored in the Google cloud and the ability to switch devices and have the bookmark change with it.

Any suggestions on how to change the background color for just Google Play Books?

Zeus Toolkit was first put into development in january of 2014 for the use with the Allwinner A13 tablets. Since its birth the tool has progressed rapidly with new functions which make repairing/modifying a breeze compared to doing it all from a command prompt and coding scripts etc..

The tool can automate tasks which some might find hard to do manually for instance editing the script.bin

I'm randomly getting a invalid SIM. Sometimes this causes the phone to do this stupid countdown thing and restart. Is anyone else seeing this issue, does any have any idea how to fix it? I requested a new SIM card but it's not fixed the issue in the slightest.

Hello guys I just wanted to share my knowledge in something related to the camera of our beastly phone and please share your thoughts as well I want to make sure because there are a lot of videos is showing something not real in the phone while comparing to others

OIS : is a hardware thing not a software and it can't be switched off or played with ... it's used in all the video qualities including the 4k ....
DIS : is a software process that is customizable with a switch one and off and used only for 1080p and 720p (30 fps )

He funny part the when u close the dis and the phone use only the ois the video become wobbly right ? and sharp movement but with he dis it's smooth video and some times it shakes really hard and cropped not like the normal video u shoot with the ois ...

If you have anything you would like to say or any video to compare please share...
I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong.

Q1: How can I tell if I have a Motorola Droid X2?
  • 1. Check in the battery compartment, under battery, on the label, Model is in the middle of top line, the Droid X2 is model MB870.

  • 2. In the software Menu>settings>about Phone>system version will include MB870.Verizon.en.US

Q2: What is the newest Stock Android Version and System Version?

  • Current System Version is 1.3.418.MB870.Verizon.en.US

Q3: Where are the Custom Bootloaders, Recoveries, and Kernels?
Because of the Locked bootloader, the stock bootloader cannot be unlocked and Stock recovery can not be replaced, to use a custom recovery a Bootstrap app is used to Hijack the boot process. See

Rooting gives you access to system files, that are restricted by default in android. See
Q5: Where can I Download the Stock Rom/Firmware?

Q6: How do I restore the stock rom?
IF phone can be booted to bootloader and battery has enough charge, Stock Firmware(SBF) should be able to be re-flashed as long as the is no hardware failure. There are 3 methods to flash SBF/Firmware.

Q7: What is the Best Rom?

Quote:

Best/most stable ROM threads aren't allowed as they're too subjective, you'll receive lots of differing opinions on the same thing. Only way is to try yourself and find the one that fits you best as that's what these forums are about.

Q8: What Roms can be installed on the Droid X2?
  • Some links to popular Roms are posted here

Q9: I have a Motorola Milestone X2 [MB867], Where can I find info about it?
Q10: Can I use the Droid X, without activating with a carrier (WiFi only)?
Yes, to skip activation, use 4 corners method or Boot Android {No BP}
  • Boot Android {No BP}: Power on phone holding volume down, when you see fast boot keep taping volume down till you see "Boot Android {No BP}" and press volume up.
It will boot you into Google Setup....just click the green guy then select the "skip" option for the rest of the setup. When you get to the location service consent section with the 3 options just don't select any and you will boot to the regular homescreen with no service.
