Hi Guys

We have a Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 (SGP521), currently installed with a nightly build of CyanogenMod12 Lollipop ROM.
Some functionality is not working well, so we would like to revert back to Sony Stock ROM, can someone guide us on the steps required?

We understand that the steps is similar to flashing the ROM into the device, but would be great if someone can confirm the steps, including where we might find stock Sony ROM. We've looked through some of the forum posts but some are quite old posts so just wondering if anything might have changed.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do i have to flash the cm12 firmware for 5.1.1 roms? I have the OTA update and running on 5.0.2?.

Lately i have problem with google services, more precise with google keyboard. It constantly crashes when i type, other google apps also crashes (play, youtube) but google keyboard the most. What is the problem and how can i solve it? i have cm12 5.1 lolipop on it, i never updated it

My system is now KK 4.4.2 with unlocked bootloader
I download CM12 (nightly) from download.cyanogenmod.com - XT925 KK bootloader
I intended to install CM12.zip via Phil Touch recovery but it failed and this message appeared:
This package is for device: xt925, vanquish_u; this device is .
E: Error in /storage/sdcard1/....CM12.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Then I used TWRP recovery instead of CWM.
The installation was successful, but in a short time (faster than installing gapps)
I made the phone rebooted.
When the system was on, it showed an error dialogue and self-rebooted to boot animation graphics immediately. Then, it became an endless loop
I had to reflash stock KK system via RSD
What happenned to my XT925????

Hi guys it's almost been a month since I installed the OTA update for CM12. But even since I did that, I haven't been able to use my mobile data connection and it never connects. Please help me out, what shall I do? I was thinking of sticking with the CM12 as it drains much less battery than the previous update.

So I have a T-Mobile LG G3 (d851) with a rooted 10c and TWRP.
I flashed the latest CM12.1 but when I boot into CM12 I am unable to hang up calls. If I make a call and tap the red "hang up" button the dialer says "Hanging up" but never does and I continue to hear the other party.

I am sure this has something to do with the 10c radio on Lollipop but maybe not.

I found flashable zips for the 20b radio and successfully upgraded it but that didn't solve the problem with disconnecting a call. I am at a loss here, especially since when I check for an OTA via the phone's UI I get the "you have the latest software" message.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was wondering if stock 4.4.2 apps could be installed on lollipop (cm12)

Hello guys, I have installed a CM12 nightly build into my Galaxy Note 3 [hlte] and everything is fine.
But I was wondering, is it possible to bring back some of the original apps (like the Camera or S Note) which i had with the original Samsung firmware?

Thanks

The download links for CM12 on the CyanogenMod website are broken, i can only download 12.1.
So if anyone has the zip file and wouldn't mind sharing that'll be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RXS Moonbreakers presents proudly
HOW TO PORT XPERIA LOLIPOP SMALL APPS TO CM12

Hi
I made this guide that will help you to mod your ROM for support fully Small Apps from Xperia Z3 5.0.2 (Include taskswitcher plugin mod). Works only for CM12 and Maybe Cm12.1.

I know that it is to port very Hard and some users doenst port it easily therefore we will use original Z3 Systemui(Hardest progress) for it. But dont worry!!!
I will release it for all LP Devices too.

Small Apps Z3 5.0.2 is latest version of Sony, it bring us features like:

-Small Apps support.
-Favorite list (Called taskswitcher plugin view) of small apps and "floatings" widgets on 'Recents Apps' (Taskswitcher).
-Widget floating window supported. (Like if converted homescreen widgets to small apps).
-Multiple windows by default from Z3,
-Latest features of small apps ported from Xperia Z3 with Android 5.0.2 version.
-And much more to find.

Before flashing this Mod please make a BACKUP

Requiements
-own framework.jar
-own framework-res.apk
-own android.policy.jar
-Z3 Lolipop Systemui

Lets Start

1.Framework-res.apk

Decompile framework-res.apk
And open AndroidManifest.xml(framework-res.apk/AndroidManifest.xml)
Find this line "<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CONFIRM_FULL_BACK UP"/>"
and Paste those lines above this line

<permission android:name="com.sony.smallapp.permission.CONTROL _SMALLAPP" android:protectionLevel="system|signature"/>
<permission android:description= @String/permdesc_smallapp" android:label= @String/permlab_smallapp" android:name="com.sony.smallapp.permission.SMALLAP P" android:protectionLevel="dangerous"/>
<permission android:description= @String/permdesc_taskSwitcherPluginView" android:label= @String/permlab_taskSwitcherPluginView" android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.TASK_SWITC HER_PLUGIN_VIEW" android:protectionLevel="signatureOrSystem"/>
<permission android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.ACCESS_BEA CON_MANAGER" androidrotectionLevel="system|signature" />

Like this marked in red lines:

<permission android:label= @String/permlab_serialPort" android:name="android.permission.SERIAL_PORT" android:protectionLevel="system|signature" android:description= @String/permdesc_serialPort" />
<permission android:label= @String/permlab_accessContentProvidersExternally" android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_CONTENT_PR OVIDERS_EXTERNALLY" android:protectionLevel="signature" android:description= @String/permdesc_accessContentProvidersExternally" />
<permission android:label= @String/permlab_updateLock" android:name="android.permission.UPDATE_LOCK" android:protectionLevel="signatureOrSystem" android:description= @String/permdesc_updateLock" />
<permission android:name="com.sony.smallapp.permission.CONTROL _SMALLAPP" android:protectionLevel="system|signature" />
<permission android:label= @String/permlab_smallapp" android:name="com.sony.smallapp.permission.SMALLAP P" android:protectionLevel="dangerous" android:description= @String/permdesc_smallapp" />
<permission android:label= @String/permlab_taskSwitcherPluginView" android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.TASK_SWITC HER_PLUGIN_VIEW" android:protectionLevel="signatureOrSystem" android:description= @String/permdesc_taskSwitcherPluginView" />
<permission android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.ACCESS_BEA CON_MANAGER" android:protectionLevel="system|signature" />

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CONFIRM_FULL_BACK UP" />
<application android:label= @String/android_system_label" android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher_android" android:allowClearUserData="false" android:hasCode="false" android:persistent="true" android:process="system" android:backupAgent="com.android.server.SystemBack upAgent" android:killAfterRestore="false" android:supportsRtl="true">
<activity android:theme="@style/Theme.Holo.Dialog.Alert" android:name="com.android.internal.app.ChooserActi vity" android:multiprocess="true" android:excludeFromRecents="true" android:finishOnCloseSystemDialogs="true">
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.CHOOSER" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
<activity android:theme="@style/Theme.Holo.Dialog" android:label= @String/heavy_weight_switcher_title" android:name="com.android.internal.app.HeavyWeight SwitcherActivity" android:process=":ui" android:excludeFromRecents="true" android:finishOnCloseSystemDialogs="true" />

Then, go to res/values/strings.xml and add these lines at the end:

PHP Code:

 <string name="permlab_smallapp">Show small apps</string>

    <
string name="permdesc_smallapp">Allow the application to display small apps on top of other applications.</string>

I tried PurpleDrake but it says my software is not vulnerable. That means I would have to downgrade, right? What do I do?
